8 drivers tonight + Chris on RC. The track was a bit sticky so times slightly down on normal. Woody set the pace in qualy with a set of 38, 39 and 41 to take TQ with 118.80. Bob not far behind posting 118.24, Keith in 3rd spot on 117.02 and Ben took the final A place with 115.11.
In the B final it was Kev, Corky, Nick and Geoff. Corky raced into an early lead but it only lasted for a couple of laps as Kev got ahead on lap 3 and gradually opened a small gap. Both then drove a perfect race with no off's and their pace pretty similar, Kev maintaining the gap of about a third of a lap all the way to the finish to take the win and 5th place overall. Nick and Geoff had a good race, Nick perhaps down on pace a little and allowing Geoff to stay on the same lap for most of the way. Geoff had a pretty good drive, much cleaner than usual ! and didn't let Nick get too far ahead, in fact in the end he was only 6 feet behind.
The A final was a close affair but actually a bit of a proccession with Woody racing in to the lead and holding it all the way, finishing up with the biggest total of the night, 41.52. Bob briefly had second place but Keith took him on lap 2 and stayed there, posting a 40.42 for second place, just over a lap behind Woody. Bob couldn't catch Keith and stayed third all the way, again finishing just over a lap back. Bob finished up on 39.22. Ben's race didn't last very long, he gave up the ghost on lap 2 to settle for 4th place.
2nd place for Keith - again !!

Some racing at last. Although only 4 drivers + Chris as Race Controller and marshall we had some great racing. After qualy we had 2 x 2 man shoot out races. The first was Nick and Kev and this was a very tight and close affair. Nick got ahead early on but Kev was always on the same lap and this continued with Kev chasing all the way to the last segment. In the last Kev did all he could to force Nick into an error, and it proved successful towards the last minute with Nick having on off. Kev got his nose in front on the road but when time ran out it wasn't quite enough and it was Nick who took the win by just 32 bits.
In the A it was Corky who got an early lead - using the same car as last time when he had to retire with an un-drivable car (he just changed the body shell !!). Corky was 2 laps up at half way but Bob fought back in the third with a big 43 to put him a lap and a bit up. In the last they were side by side all the way and Corky had to settle for second in the race and overall, both doing identical 43.53s. Some great racing.

6 drivers again tonight with Nick back in Cyprus and a couple of no shows. Chris was first up in qualy and he posted what would be TQ with 14.26. Only Bob would also get in to the 14's with 14.02. Keith made up the A final with his 13.84. Corky had a nightmare, only managing 11.52 with his car/controller combination a real handful.
Corky's night didn't get any better in the B race. He only lasted for 6 laps in total afte he stripped a gear and after replacing it he decided his car was undrivable and retired. That left Barrie and Kev to fight it out. Barrie was driving well but too many 'offs' gave Kev a 7 lap lead at halfway. He picked up and drove better in the last 2 segments and matched Kev, so Kev ran out winner of the race by those 7 laps or so.
In the 'A' it was Chris storming off on Red with a 44, 3 laps more than Bob and 5 more than Keith. Another 42 for Chris in the second had him 5 laps ahead at halfway. Keith battled back with a 42 to be only a few feet behind Bob. Chris finished off with a couple of 43's to end up on 186.53. Keith was really in the groove now and put in a 44 on Red to go ahead of Bob. Keith's last segment of 41 was 3 more than Bob so Keith finished up - you've guessed it - 2nd again !

Only 6 of us racing but Chris came to do race control. Barrie put some new tyres on after finding that qualifying with tyres smaller than the gear doesn’t work too well and surprise it transformed his car, The B race with Keith, Nick and Barrie was quite close at times with Keith, after managing to keep his car on better, took the win. The A race started with a win for Woody but Bob then started to pull away for an overall win from Woody and Corky.

Woody TQ's tonight with 121.46, about 3 1/2 laps ahead of Keith. Bob was a further 2 1/2 laps back and Kev made the 4th spot in the A final.
In the B final it was Nick with an untroubled run to take a comfortable win with 37.24 but Barrie and Geoff had a right old battle with the positions changing all the time. Barrie was struggling to be consistent round the loop and Geoff took advantage to get ahead with a minute or so to go, and he held on to take 2nd place by a lap and a bit from Barrie.
In the A it was Woody and Keith swapping the lead in the early stages, but Woody got his act together to put in some very quick laps to gradually pull away from Keith at a consistent rate. Woody ended up with 42.18 nearly 3 laps ahead of Keith in 2nd with 39.39. It was a similar scenario for Bob and Kev for 3rd and 4th, swapping places early on but Bob got ahead and finished up just over a lap ahead of Kev. The grip on Yellow and Blue was a bit 'iffy'.

Just 6 of us racing tonight with Chris doing race control and we got by with 3 marshals. Woody's car looked very good in the first heat on white but he could not keep it up on the other lanes. Keith qualified top with Bob joining him in the A final. The B final was easy for Corky as Woody kept falling off and Nick going steadily for second, Geoff had some very good drives during the evening and posting PB's all the way, but still ended up taking last place. So Corky took red for the A final and Nick was left with blue. Corky then proceeded to drive a steady but fast race with Keith and Bob regularly falling off trying to catch him and the race ended in that order, Corky, Keith, Bob and Nick. Corky happened to mention it was his first win in a long time!
